Sahwira International Plan (SIP) provides funeral cover to Zimbabweans resident in USA, who wish to be repatriated to Zimbabwe in the unfortunate event that they pass on.

  • The policy provides repatriation and funeral services upon the death of a life assured.
  • Cover commences after a waiting period of 6 calendar months.
  • Cover is immediate should death occur as a result of a traffic accident.
  • Other dependants are covered on request at an additional premium and waiting period of 6 calendar months.
  • Children (including legally adopted) under the age of 23 years shall be covered at no additional premium provided they are single.

In Zimbabwe

  • Provision of transport for mourners in Zimbabwe i.e. bus service (applicable where the benefit has been chosen).
  • Provision of a hearse to ferry deceased to place of burial within Zimbabwe.
  • Grocery allowance from (US$) 200.00 up to (US$) 500.00 depending on the chosen plan.
  • A 200 seater tent with chairs and 2 portable toilets (TCPT) shall be provided at 1 chosen location for a maximum of 2 night (available at an additional premium for dependants).
  • Provision of chapel service where a chapel is available.
  • Gravesite equipment.

Optional Benefits

Accommodation in Zimbabwe

  • A fully furnished self-catering 2 bedroomed apartment with paid TV channels. Accommodation is available for a maximum of 7 days.

Vehicle in Zimbabwe

  • Provision of a manual double cab vehicle for seven days.

 Return Air Tickets

  • Provision of 2 return air tickets from country of residence to Zimbabwe.

200 Seater Tent, Chairs & 2 Portable Toilets

  • A 200 seater tent with chairs and 2 portable toilets shall be provided at 1 chosen location for a maximum of 2 nights. (Available at an additional premium for dependants).
